President\'s Report
At this time of year I trust this newsletter will find all players and theirfamilies fit and well enjoying the many other things they participate in during our off season. It may then comeas a surprise when I tell you that your new committee has been hard at work in preparation for season 2008 and I am sure as you browse through this bulletin you will understand what I mean.
Please make sure when you hang up your 2008 calendar you write in the date for club sign on, as our aim is to have everyone back for an even more enjoyable year. Also look at the Coaching Brief, as it will contain some exciting new concepts we will be rolling out early next year.
Our website is currently being upgraded and our intention is to make \"the place to find the answers\" in 2008. We are currently working with SPASA to provide some additional maintenance to our fields, particularly our main field, during the break so hopefully again in 2008 we can provide one of the best playing surfaces for Junior Rugby.
For those of you who want to see some of the up and coming talent as identified by the Queensland Rugby Union, we are proud again to be the club for their Regional College Program for players in the North Region. If you come down around 6.30pm most Wednesday nights you can watch the young men go through their routines. This is a great opportunity for coaches also to see the latest methods in teaching core skills of our great game.
Finally and most importantly on behalf of the committee I would like to wish you and your families all the best for a Safe and Prosperous Festive Season.

Club Managers Report
It doesn\'t take long before the Rugby Season is upon us once more. I don\'t know about you but I have enjoyed the break and the occasional sleep in. I also know that the committee, which has been boosted by some new, innovative and hungry members, has been working tirelessly during recent weeks to ensure we get off to a flyer in season 2008. Our goal next season is to ensure every child who puts on a rugby jumper has a fun time with his team mates and learns a bit about the game they play in heaven. This goal also extends to all of our parents and supporters because without you, we wouldn\'t be a club. A club is more than just bricks and mortar it\'s the people! Essentially, the club is US.
On that note, on behalf of the rest of the committee, I would like to extend my thanks to all of those volunteers who are going to give up their own time for our kids whether it be in the canteen or BBQ, coaching / managing a team, refereeing or field set up who have a vision to ensure our club goes forward and prospers in 2008.
I would like to wish all a very Merry Xmas and Happy New Year and look forward to your support again in 2008.
Cheers,
Brad Kent
Club Manager

Application for Coaches 2008. The club is seeking coaches for all age groups (U6-U17) for the 2008 season. Being able to assist and influence our young players by developing their football and life skills can be very rewarding and we encourage parents to get involved. This year we saw a number of new coaches and assistants take up a position, which is terrific.
To coach a team you need to hold appropriate coaching and Smart Rugby accreditation or be prepared to undertake the course. It\'s not difficult and you will receive plenty of support in seeking your accreditation.

This important and rewarding role is key to the success and enjoyment of the team.
