Welcome From Our President

It is with great pleasure that I welcome everybody to the Albany Creek GPS Brumbies Rugby Club for the 2008 season. We are confident that this year will be another rewarding one for our players, their families and club committee alike.

I\'d like to take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to the new players and families, and offer you all a big thank you for choosing the Brumbies as your team in 2008. You\'ll find our club is full of friendly, welcoming people who will make you all feel very much a part of the Brumbies family from day one. The fact that our numbers are growing steadily reflects the supportive and welcoming environment that Brumbies offers to parents and players alike!

To the players and families returning from last year we say welcome back and it looks like it will be another outstanding year for our children to enjoy the great game of rugby.

This year we really want to continue to ensure that we all embrace the philosophies of community, fair play, doing our best and most of all enjoying our time at the club. This goes for parents as much as players and committee members. We encourage involvement from parents who wish to help out with various things throughout the year, and very much appreciate everyone who helps make our club as great as it is. Our club is only as good as the people who make it!

Notes on Muster Night:

Muster night is all about meeting and greeting. Players get to meet the coaches and familiies to greet each other. Some players will also sign on and players will be allocated into teams. Please be patient during this evening whilst player numbers are finalised. Training will commence as soon as possible. At this point in time, U11 will be graded.

Training Kit Requirements:

Training Shirt, Shorts (royal blue) , Socks, Mouth Guard, Boots/ Footwear and Water Bottle. Optional: Head Gear. Please note that the Club sells Shorts and Socks. Please talk to your coach for further guidance.

We Need You!

Our club functions solely on the generosity of members who volunteer their valuable time to support the needs of the children who play rugby for the Brumbies. We have a lot of fun doing this but we always need more help. Please don\'t leave the hard work to \'someone else\' to help us keep this club great. If you can help in any way at all, please contact your manager or the committee and let us know. You will be welcomed with open arms. Experience has shown that we particularly need help with resourcing the canteen, BBQ and touch judges.
