Our Philosophy
Our approach is to develop the players as individuals and as a group. It is also to make sure that everybody who trains regularly and supports their team, is given the opportunity to participate as much as possible.
We will endeavour to develop the teams to win matches by inspiring individuals and the teams to aim high and to succeed. The players will also be given the opportunity to polish their leadership skills by motivating, supporting and encouraging each other to play and build a team within the true spirit of the game.
Players who aspire to representative selection will need to focus on individual skill development as well as adopt a group focus.
All players are encouraged to maintain a balance between school and study, family and rugby. This attitude must be present at all times and school results should be maintained throughout the season.
Club History
The Albany Creek GPS Brumbies Rugby Club was established in 1996 when the GPS Rugby Union Club created a new \'satellite\' junior rugby union club at Albany Creek. The club has grown significantly since it started with a handful of under 6\'s and under 7\'s players. Our club now provides playing opportunities for approximately 260 of the area\'s young. We field teams in all age groups from U/6 to U17 inclusive, with many age groups sporting multiple teams. Today\'s achievements will be tomorrow\'s history. 2007 will be recorded as the first year of under 17 competition and we will be hosting a Colt\'s division from Ashgrove GPS at our club.
Location
The club is situated at South Pine Sports Complex, Cribb Rd, BRENDALE (UBD Map 108 Ref G11). Follow the signs off Old Northern Road.
Training
There is one official training session per week on Friday nights from 6.00pm. All players are expected to attend these sessions and to arrive on time. Players who are unable to attend training or be on the field by 6.00pm, are required to notify the coach or team manager prior to this training session. This will allow coaching staff to make any adjustments to the training and game plans.
All players will be provided with a handbook with detailed information on contact people in each team.

Games
Club games are held on Saturday for the Under 6 to Under 9 age divisions and on Sunday for the Under 10 division upwards. Players are issued with individual team draws that show time, date and location of games.
Players are expected to be at the grounds at least 30 minutes prior to kick-off so that they can warm up sufficiently and to receive instructions from coaching staff.
